We invite you into a reflective space where we search for our place in the moment, across a wide spectrum between stress and relaxation. In the dynamic balance between over-stimulation and under-excitement, we try to relax, or at least let go of our expectations.
RELAX has experienced several formats over the past year. It has appeared at the UNDER500 grassroots arts festival, at Sziget festival as an Active Relaxation morning movement session and at Trafó as a theatre experience. This time it will fill and occupy the 7th floor of the EightandaHalf. Performative and installative situations, knowledge-sharing, discursive and workshop formats and tones will be layered in this event.
We want to share the process with you, not a finished product. Perhaps in a lively cacophony of glancing reflections, or in a detail deemed insignificant, light will break through so that the information, wrapped in a energetic form, will provide everyone with personalized answers to their current questions.
We invite you to stay after the hour-long event, explore, roam or just settle down and find your place. A publication will also help you to make sense of it all and to synthesize it.

Anna Kudron
I am a lecturer at METU, my research interests are in the fields of sustainability, fashion, arts and communication, and I am a PhD student at the ELTE BTK Doctoral School of Philosophy, researching the relationship between ecology, fashion and art. Last year I was a fellow of the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) in Berlin, researching innovative and sustainable methods of colour creation.
As founder of the creative studio Pinkponilo (Budapest, 2017), I work on conscious and transparent fashion methods, researching innovative and organic materials. In practice, I develop their real-life possibilities through projects, workshops and commissions, creating artworks and costumes focused on community building, cultural and environmental sustainability. There's no part of making costumes and making the whole process more sustainable that doesn't engage me.

Imre Vass
Performer, improviser, performance maker. “I host environments for a non-harmful exploration of the comfort zone, to overcome the uncomfortable while tuning, training and sharpening the muscles of attention. Playing with expectations, flirting with ambiguities and obvious choices while swerving away from the mainstream I intend to liberate energies of the participants of the event (both performers and spectators).” Imre Vass is an artist supported by the Creative Europe - Life Long Burning - Creative Crossroads programme of the European Union.
